What a great way to move the shirts out and do some good too! Wallace said the shirts are long sleeve and short sleeve, some button down and some not. Her solution: The Men's Room is selling the shirts for $5 each, with half of each price being donated to Second Harvest Food Bank. Well, the number of shirts has proved to be too many for her shop to handle. You have likely heard of having "too much of a good thing," and that is the case at The Men's Room men's consignment shop in Hendersonville. Owner Kathy Wallace made a super buy of more than 500 brand-new men's white dress shirts in sizes XL to 8X. Just email her at and tell her the best cheap lunch restaurants and what you would order. Happy eighth birthday to the bigger, better Mas Tacos and to the hardworking "Taco Lady."ĭetails: Mas Tacos is at 732 McFerrin Ave. No credit cards, cash only. Several years ago Tennessean restaurant reviewer Nancy Vienneau aptly described Mas Tacos as "the charming sort of place you'd find if you were driving across the Baja to the Sea of Cortez." Anyone can enter the contest, but be forewarned that last year's reigning king consumed 13 tacos during the competitive three-minute "heat." The restaurant with its mismatched chairs, stools and tables, original art and the iconic chalkboard menu is known for having a good vibe and great cheap food, and a line out the door almost any day at meal times. The menu includes just a few varieties of tacos, the crowd-pleasing Mexico City Tortilla soup, a few other soups, the "Elote" Mexican corn, and daily specials such as tamales on Wednesdays. Mas Tacos Por Favor, one of my favorite inexpensive lunch spots, has expanded into space next door that was previously occupied by a salon. I love good news, and today I want to share a few happy tidbits of cheapness.
